This two piece set includs 1 dress and 1 jacket, designed by Christian Mann for Marquise. His designs retailed in the $250-$400 range in the 60s, with inflation we can compare that to clothing in the $1500-$3000 range today. This is a very high end set. His pieces are not common and I am thrilled to have this Christian Mann design available for sale!
This set is medium-heavy weight, good for cooler weather or chilly, air conditioned offices. The dress is sleeveless with a slight cap over the shoulder. Shift style with pleats in the skirt over the front and back of each hip. The jacket is a boxy cut with a large collar button and a hidden button panel down the front. Pockets over each hip. Exquisite pattern matching down the front of the jacket and onto the dress. These pieces work well together and quality enough to stand on their own. The tailoring is fantastic, great details throughout. The textile is wool, woven in fuchsia pink with yellow, black and white plaid. Both pieces are fully lined in silk. There is slight discoloration on the lining of the jacket, under the arms and slight discoloration under the arms of the dress. Additional photos available.
